For the New Mom 
Babies Love Books “Lapsits”
Babies 0-18 months and parents will enjoy connection through rhymes, songs, and books during programs designed especially for them! No sign-ups necessary. Every Wednesday, October 3rd through May 7th, from 9:30-10:00 am.

Bosom Buddies
Expectant and breastfeeding moms come together to support & encourage each other.  On-site breastfeeding assistance from a certified Lactation Educator.  Children welcome.  Tuesdays in Paradise.  891-2768

Breast Friends
Expectant & breastfeeding mothers come together for support, encouragement & friendship.  On-site breastfeeding assistance from a lactation consultant. Thursdays 10am. WIC office.  891-2768
 
Butte College Infant-Parent Program
A program for parents and their infants. Bi-weekly evening lectures focus on issues common to this age group. These classes are offered at the Butte College Chico Center for Fall & Spring semester.  Call for more information:  Patty Travis at 895-2542, or Nancy Oppy (instructor) at 895-1352.
 
Butte County Mothers of Multiples 
We are here to support Mothers of Multiples (twins, triplets and more). The Butte County Local Child Care Planning Council 
Plans & coordinates child care and development services through a collaborative effort of individuals, public agencies and private organizations by the promotion of affordable, available, accessible, high quality services to meet the diverse needs of Butte County families. The Council offers trainings, presentations, and resources on a number of related subjects as well as collaborative meeting opportunities. Kids In Safe Seats

Participate in our Low-cost Car Seat Program by attending a 2 hour car/booster seat class, class is free and open to all.  Low-cost car seat purchase program available for low income, Butte County residents.   Please call to pre-register or for more information to (530) 891-2732 or 1-800-339-2941.  Butte County Public Health.

Teaching Kids About Money

Rowel Family Empowerment of Northern California
A private non-profit agency dedicated to empowering families of children with special needs. We offer an array of services to English and Spanish speaking families regarding special education, health care and related issues. Adoptive Parent Support Group

ARC Support Group

Grandparents as Parents

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)
9:30-11:30 a.m. Evangelical Free Church of Chico, 1193 Filbert Ave. For mothers of infants through kindergarten-age. Child care provided. 343-6022. First and third Wednesdays. 
 
Teen Parent Services

Teen Parent Support Group

Special Needs
Recreation and Dreams for Kids with Cancer
Children with cancer & their families are invited to attend this support group providing free monthly recreational opportunities.  332-3171
 
Sunshine Connection 
This program is designed to empower kids with special needs (along with their friends and siblings) through a variety of fun activities.  Weekly club, teen programs, martial arts, and family events. 891-3618
 
Wings of Eagles 
Provides emotional and financial assistance to all families in the four county areas of: Butte, Glenn, Tehama and Colusa (California) who have children with a pediatric cancer or a life-threatening illness diagnosis. The Joseph Alvarez Organization for Seriously Ill Children.  893-9231
